My Story
I first heard about Scentsy in August of 2008. I was beginning a new school year teaching first grade, starting graduate school, had just moved to the area and was far from home, an hour away from my friends and boyfriend and fighting homesickness. To my delight, one of my moms brought me a wonderful goodie basket complete with school supplies, snacks, a Scentsy Scent Circle and a Scentsy catalog to welcome me to the area. I was grateful for the gesture, accepted the catalog and hung the Scent Circle on my rearview mirror. Assuming this was like any other car refresher, I didn't give much thought to the catalogs and put them on the kitchen counter for later viewing. It didn't take more than 2 days of opening my car to an amazing scent before I was searching the catalog cover to cover for everything I could find out about this product that I had never heard of before. I was definitely interested in Scentsy, but at the time I was working through grad school and did not have much money to spare. Andrea, who later became my sponsor and director, brought me a set of basket testers and let me borrow her warmer to try for myself. Now to fully understand my story you have to know that I was an employee of Bath & Body Works for 4 years. I considered myself a scent expert and I truly believe I have tried every candle, oil burner, tea light and plug in available. I knew the best and most effective products on the market, and when I brought this new Scentsy warmer home and plugged it in, it had big shoes to fill. In just minutes I could already smell the scent and it wasn't long before it had filled my entire 1200 sq ft apartment, 15 ft vaulted ceilings and all, with memories and the comfort of home. It was at that moment that I knew I had found something special. I soon purchased enough products for myself and friends that I had qualified for my own party! But it wasn't enough! I wanted to share the comfort of Scentsy with everyone I knew. In less than a month I had become an active consultant and have enjoyed being a part of such a truly exceptional company for the last 11 years!
Recently, I took a break from teaching and I am blessed to have the freedom to stay home and raise my 3 children. This has allowed me to devote more time to my Scentsy business and leading my team. I'd love to chat with you about the Scentsy opportunity and how Scentsy can enrich your life too!
